Shelly J. Coffman is an investigator with Meyer & Associates, where she has been employed since 2003.

Ms. Coffman graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and then went on to receive a Masters of Business Administration from The University of Arkansas.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Coffman was employed by Stephens, Inc., an investment banking firm, where she served a broad client base of institutional and individual investors. Ms. Coffman’s work in the investment banking industry led her to a well-known nationwide, securities class action firm, where her focus was primarily upon investors seeking financial recovery for losses suffered as a result of securities fraud, including derivative lawsuits filed against corporate boards, seeking to impose corporate governance reforms aimed at protecting shareholders and eliminating corporate waste and abuse. While with this firm, Ms. Coffman had the opportunity to be involved with dozens of major securities and consumer class action cases including significant work on In re Initial Public Offering Securities Litigation, one of the largest class action cases ever filed.

Upon joining Meyer & Associates, Ms. Coffman's focus has been on the growing consumer and securities class action practice of the firm as her expertise in class action litigation covers a wide spectrum of industries. Ms. Coffman’s familiarity with the litigation environment, and specifically the securities industry, enables her to evaluate cases for a wide variety of clients, including institutional investors, and upon filing enables her to provide assistance at every stage of a case.

Additionally, Ms. Coffman has been intricately involved in both securities and consumer class actions in which Meyer & Associates has played a significant role as counsel - from initial strategy to discovery, and through settlement or trial and allows her to work closely with the firm’s legal team to identify, develop, document and prosecute consumer fraud cases. Since joining the firm, Meyer & Associates has been successful in obtaining hundreds of millions of dollars of relief to Class Members and individuals across the country.
